This Server is meant to test out my ‘The Handy’ integration for the game ‘Minecraft’.

Prerequisites #
You will need:
- A Premium Minecraft Java Account
- A working Minecraft instance on Minecraft Java Version 1.21.10
- A stable internet connection
- At best the latest Firmware on your Handy (4.x+)
- The integration will ONLY be worked on with the latest firmware in mind. Older ones MIGHT work but are not supported.
- Your Handy’s Connection Key
Server #
The Server runs on Minecraft Java Version 1.21.10!
The Server itself is located in Europe (specifically Netherlands). So if you are from the USA, or another country far away, you might have higher latency on all your actions. This may result in a less enjoyable experience.

How does it work? #
Quick Start #
If you just wanna quickstart your experience with no additional configuration, do the following once you joined the Server:
- Use the command “/handy create <DEVICE_CONNECTION_KEY>”
- Now use the command “/handy start” to start your session.
- Use “/handy stop” to stop the session.
This will start your session with default settings, which is not recommended!
Please make sure to tweak your settings to get a bespoke experience.
What influences the Strokes? #
Currently, there are 5 “types” of Strokes that happen on different actions.
- Passive Stroke
- The Passive Stroke will always be active when no other Stroke Type is currently operating. The Passive Stroke will be more aggressive the less health you currently have.
- Block Break Stroke
- If you break a block, it will add 20 Ticks to a timer (20 ticks = 1 Second) and begin to stroke you with higher speed and more slide. Will also trigger when using a hoe.
- Damage taken/Explosions Stroke
- If you take damage, at least 30 Ticks are added to a timer (30 + a bit depending on the damage amount). It will then begin to stroke you even harder then the block break stroke. The Damage Stroke always has precedence over the Block Break Stroke.
- Explosion Nearby Stroke
- If an explosion happens very close, it will stroke you harder but (by default) differently.
- Death Stroke
- If you die, a full force Stroke will play for several seconds. This has the highest priority.
Commands #
The following commands are available to be used. Use at your own risk!
- /handy create <DEVICE_CONNECTION_KEY> [api:2/3]
- This creates a Session for you. If you specify api:2/3 it will use the respective Handy API endpoint.
- If you don’t specify the api argument, it will use APIv3 which is recommendet.
- Please.. Don’t include the “<>” in this or any following commands..
- Example for this command: /handy create dDfBda
- /handy start
- This will start your session.
- /handy stop
- This will stop your session.
- /handy set <SETTING_NAME> <VALUE>
- Set a new value for a specific setting (see HERE for all Settings).
- /handy savesettings <PRESET_NAME>
- Saves your current settings on the server to be restored later.
- /handy loadsettings <PRESET_NAME>
- Loads your before saved settings from the server.
- /handy deletesettings <PRESET_NAME>
- Deletes a preset settings file from the server.
- /handy resetsettings
- Resets the settings of your current session to plugin default values.
Settings #
The following Settings exist:
Passive Stroke #
- PASSIVE_STROKE_MIN
- Minimum stroke length that can occur passively.
- Min/Max Value: 0-100
- PASSIVE_STROKE_MAX
- Maximum stroke length that can be reached passively.
- Min/Max Value: 0-100
- PASSIVE_STROKE_VELOCITY_MULTIPLIER
- Multiplier applied to passive stroke velocity.
- Min/Max Value: 0-More or less infinite.
- PASSIVE_STROKE_VELOCITY_EXPONENT
- Exponent used to curve passive stroke velocity growth (exponential scaling).
- Min/Max Value: 0-More or less infinite.
- PASSIVE_STROKE_MAX_MULTIPLIER
- Multiplier applied to the raw passive stroke calculation before mapping to min/max.
- Min/Max Value: 0-More or less infinite.
- PASSIVE_STROKE_EXPONENT
- Exponent used to curve passive stroke length growth (exponential scaling).
- Min/Max Value: 0-More or less infinite.
- PASSIVE_STROKE_DEPEND_ON_HEALTH
- true/false. If true, the passive stroke depends on how much health you have.
- If false, the settings ‘PASSIVE_STROKE_VELOCITY_EXPONENT’ and ‘PASSIVE_STROKE_EXPONENT’ become useless.
- PASSIVE_STROKE_VELOCITY_IF_NO_HEALTH
- If ‘PASSIVE_STROKE_DEPEND_ON_HEALTH’ is false, this is the velocity used for the passive stroke.
- Min/Max Value: 0.00-1
Block Break #
- BLOCK_BREAK_STROKE_MIN
- Minimum stroke length from breaking blocks.
- Min/Max Value: 0-100
- BLOCK_BREAK_STROKE_MAX
- Maximum stroke length from breaking blocks.
- Min/Max Value: 0-100
- BLOCK_BREAK_VELOCITY
- Stroke velocity applied when breaking blocks.
- Min/Max Value: 0.00-1
- BLOCK_BREAK_TICKS_TO_ADD
- Number of ticks added when a block is broken.
- Min/Max Value: 0-More or less infinite.
- BLOCK_BREAK_MAX_TICKS
- Maximum number of ticks that can be added to the timer.
- Min/Max Value: 0-More or less infinite.
Damage Taken #
- DAMAGE_TAKEN_STROKE_MIN
- Minimum stroke length from taking damage.
- Min/Max Value: 0-100
- DAMAGE_TAKEN_STROKE_MAX
- Maximum stroke length from taking damage.
- Min/Max Value: 0-100
- DAMAGE_TAKEN_VELOCITY
- Stroke velocity applied when taking damage.
- Min/Max Value: 0-100
- DAMAGE_TAKEN_TICKS_TO_ADD_BASE
- Base number of ticks added when damage is taken.
- Min/Max Value: 0-More or less infinite.
- DAMAGE_TAKEN_MAX_TICKS
- Maximum number of ticks that can be added to the timer.

- Stroke velocity applied on death.
- Min/Max Value: 0.00-1
- DEATH_STROKE_TICKS
- Duration (in ticks) for stroke effects after death.
- Min/Max Value: 0-More or less infinite.
Notice on Settings #
If you changed some settings and forgot to save them, don’t worry. If you quit the server, it will save the settings to the preset named ‘quitsave’.
